From Forbes:

Influential lawmaker, Jildizbek Surabaldiyev, who was accused of fomenting unrest in the Central Asian country in March, has been shot dead in central Bishkek, General Prosecutor Azimbek Beknazarov told Agence France-Presse.

Surabaldiyev 'was killed in the city centre,' Beknazarov said.

He was shot several times and 'the motives are under investigation,' the prosecutor said.

Surabaldiyev, a supporter of ousted president Askar Akayev, had been accused by the new authorities in the country of coordinating teams of 'provocateurs' to sabotage opposition protests in March that nevertheless resulted in the overthrow of Akayev's regime.
